i need an appraisal on old commemorative stamps.

Unfortunately they are probably just gold foil and not worth a lot - maybe 50c. But some company did sell actual gold replicas a couple of years ago. They are not terribly valuable but have some value for the gold content. Stamp collectors are not likely to be interested in these, unfortunately.

Have you tried a pawn shop? Or even a jeweler might do an appraisal on that.
