I have pretty nice size scrapes on my shin (actually they are up the whole shin) well, I was planning to Nair my legs, would it be better to avoid that area or can I still go over it? The scrapes are from yesterday so they are still fresh cuts.

If you’re wondering where the scrapes are from: they are a result of being tackled at the beach while playing football! Nice boyfriend huh? Lol.

NO for the love of God and your legs don't put Nair on them!!!! That will burn those scrapes so bad you'll want to rip your legs off! Just Nair around that area or just shave around it. Those scrapes will probably scar pretty bad too so to minimize scarring put lots of Neosporine on them until they're better. It'll help fight germs and it'll lessen the chances of really bad scars. Next time tell your b/f to take it easy with you. lol.

I would avoid putting nair on your scrapes. Even better, if you can stand it, avoid using the nair for a few days to allow the initial scabs to form. I know, it summer, and you want perfectly hair free legs, but can you deal with it for a few days? Better safe than sorry.

I would recommend that you shave with a sharp blade and a good cream and wait for the scrapes to heal before using Nair-that could really burn, not to mention slow the healing process!

Dont use the nair on the cuts/scrapes. It'll burn. I'm speaking from experience. Nair has chemicals in it that will definatley burn that area try to avoid it.

It Would Be Wise To Wait Until The Skin Heals, But If You Can't Wait Avoid That Area If Possible

Don't do it! I had a bruise and a tiny little scrape on my knee and I Naired them the other week and it opened up the cut and made it ooze. It didn't ooze when I hurt it, but it did after I Naired. Trust me!

I wouldn't Nair into an open cut. It will burn you. Plus if its a really bad scrape you probably don't have much hair on it anyway.

Nair says not to use over broken skin and that includes acne, scrapes and cuts.

Stay away from those scrapes, since Nair is alcohol-based. It'll burn like hell if you put enough of it on top of those cuts.

Next time you see your boyfriend, tackle him from behind and hogtie him.
