ebook = Sometimes presented as Ebook or EBook, the term refers to a book that is available in electronic format. Usually eBooks are available in Adobe PDF or eBook Reader format, or in Microsoft's LIT format, but there are many other formats available. A good eBook uses the technology effectively, with tables of contents that link to the correct chapters and search capabilities. Links to Web sites and other files also can be included.

An ebook is simply an electronic book. In other words sit down in front of Word and write a book, then save it to a suitable format. PDF is a very common format for ebooks.

You will rarely find people classing a word document as an ebook because you need a format that is easy to read and appears like a printed book - except it is on screen and not a printed page.

Publishing via an ebook means that your readers can download the book to read it without the cost associated with printing it. They can then read it online via their laptop, dekstop, mobile or whatever means they wish.

Some companies charge for downloading an ebook and provide the options of buying a printed copy.

Other people use an ebook by releasing a chapter of their book for people to read electronically and thus, temping them to buy a paper copy.

An ebook is something you can download to your mobile and read on the go.

I have a Nokia 9300 and it came with a few sample ebooks which I could purchase in full, they are normal books that you can buy in any bookstore which have been converted for your mobile.
