republicans make no bones about being for themselves and for big business. democrats pretend to be bluecollar guys looking out for the little guy. Of course both are composed principally of rich, influencial and corrupt beurocrats. Republicans screw you in the front, democrats screw you in the rear.
Democrats are generally more liberal and tend to be pro abortion, pro environment (at least on the surface) and say that they will cut taxes. They direct money towards social security and are for immigrants receiving benefits and bend toward Unions and directing funding out of education, emergency services towards the jobless and welfare area. They are pro gay rights, anti - conservative, pro-womens rights, and assist these causes to no end.
Republicans are pro business, with all that entales. They tend to be anti - abortion, and will not claim to cut taxes because they realize that someone needs to pay for all the mess we've created. Generally they direct funding away from social security, and into areas such as education, they are not as supportive of the poor and immigrants, but tend to support more conservative causes such as protecting retirement packages, looking out for seniors in prescription drug cases. They are more military oriented than are democrats, and often support intervention and put less faith in the UN. average republicans are more likely to be party loyal and actually vote, whereas democrats are less likely to vote in elections. Republicans are generally middle class or the middle class economic status, and educated.

Republicans support the Bush Administration
Democrats dont.

They are both American and should stop their bickering and figure out SOLUTIONS to our pressing problems which we all have to face and live with.

We are both FREE to our own opinions and that makes us great and we are both subject to living in the world we create.

Do you love your country and its constitution? OK no matter whose side youre on support it, and each others freedom to think for themselves.

Do you support the American people? Or is supporting the establishment and supporting the people becoming further away from each other? Is that the greatest divide? Does it come down to the rich vs the poor and working class? Im answering this question now with questions.

All I know is we should unite as Americans and give each other permission to our beliefs though they differ.

United we stand, if we fall we all fall together.

Republicans are supposed to believe in a small government. Less taxes, less spending, etc. - Tax relief, refunds, etc.

Democrats are supposed to believe in bigger, or more helpful government. Not necessarily an intrusive government, but a government that is more involved with social solutions. - Welfare, social services, etc. Which will equal more spending and taxes.

It is really hard to define today's republicans or democrats. They have really skewed in a bunch of different directions.

Republicans are now fighting on what they believe to be a morally righteous platform.

Democrats are now fighting on what they believe to be a socially righteous platform.

Screw them both... VOTE MODERATE! ;p

democrats as a party line are for the common person in this great country. as common im everyday working or poor sick young etc. also the people that died in new orleans i think would be alive today if john kerry were electid in place of bush. republicans as a party line are against the comman people. check the record sence 2000 for starters. the way 9-11 was used against the people in this country is also gop driven and has been a big profit for gop and co. and a big lost cause for the common people. again follow the money.

DEMOCRATS

Everyone should be taken care of

The government should provide things

We should not tax people less

We should over regulate companies but leave morals alone

Companies are evil a strong economy will magically come from paying people with no skills more and have less qualified leaders of companies

I will vote with the news polls because I should do the will of the American people
-----------------------------------------------------------
REPUBLICANS

The government should support a strong economy

To provide more services we need more taxes.

We should over regulate morality but leave businesses alone as long as they aren’t hurting people and the economy is doing well.

Strong companies will lead to a strong economy and they will take care of their workers so that they get quality work from them.

I will vote for the news polls because even though I am screwing up America by doing it I want to get re-elected
--------------------------------------------------
Either way you get the same stuff coming out of the government. The real power lies in the media and lobby groups.

There used to be some pretty reliable differences in terms of conservative vs. liberal. For example, the republicans used to be the fiscal conservatives, but now they seem to be the big spenders. There really isn't any conclusive way to distinguish between the parties any more. They're all the same. Hence, the name demopublicans. But if you really want to delve into it, you can look up each party's own info in the links below.

Democrats (i.e., those in Congress, not necessarily those who vote for them)

- First, they feel; then, they think
- Governments are responsible for people
- Education should be centralized in Wash., DC first & state capitols next
- All Americans have a "right" to health care
- Are in favor of a balanced budget (I know, I know, but this is what they keep saying)
- The evil George Bush is just ruining the country (oh, the horror of it all!)
- Are in favor of "a woman's 'right-to-choose'"

Republicans (i.e., those in Congress, not necessarily those who vote for them)

- First, they think; then, they feel (yes, they really, really, do!)
- People are responsible for themselves; the government steps in when all else has failed and there is a real need
- Education should remain decentralized, period
- Americans have no "right" to health care
- Are in favor of a budget where the money is spent on their priorities (funny, just like the Democratic congresses of '52 - '94)
- The evil George Bush is really a pretty cool guy - he's kicking a**es and taking names and the kickees sure don't like it!
- Are in favor of choice - choosing their children's schools, choosing to carry a firearm (e.g., when the cops can't get there in time to pull the rapist off the wife), choosing their elected representatives (i.e., they vote)

Democrats do what's best for the common good and Republicans do what's best for the rich. Democrats try to help the less fortunate and Republicans try to make the rich richer and the poor stay poor.

Typically, Democrats are poor and Republicans are rich. However, this isn't always the case.

Republicans are usually Conservative, and they support tax breaks, freedom of religion (prayer in schools, In God We Trust on money, etc.), and prohibiting abortion and gay marriage.

Democrats are often Liberal (not always), and they support welfare, abortion, gay marriage, and separation of church and state.
