Most Universities have a graduation list from every year. It hsould be simple. Some may even have it on their website.

You usually can't just look up random people to see where they went to school, but if you are reserarching a candidate for employment or if you work at another university and want to verify a student's prior transcript, colleges will usually do that.

Ask for an official transcript. It will include what degree(s) were earned along with GPA.
