Please tell me your experiences. I haven't used such a product in years. When they first came out, they were blotchy and orange. I realize they are better now, but still unsure of which product to try. I am going to a family reunion and would like to try it.

I can't be in direct sunlight, so the sun is not an option.

I've heard that Neutrongena's is good. Always exfoliate beforehand, wash your hands after applying, and make sure it has plenty of time to dry.

I am light skinned with freckles.I have used neutragina and it turned my skin and between my fingers very orange!!!Also left orange blotches all over my legs.I have tried Coppertone endless summer tan in dark, the kind with 2 lotions side by side in the light blue see through bottle and it developed in 30 min. so I was able to fix any blotches and it really looked like I had a damn good dark tan,I got a lot of compliments,I have a hard time getting a real tan and its dangerous so I was real happy to get all the compliments.I used it for a whole summer on my body and face it worked great!!The more I applied it the darker I got. I also like jergens natural glow in medium.I have decided to use it this summer and so far it works great too!! No orange with it either, and it leaves you a nice bronzed color over a few days.I really do not like the spray on tans they make you look like you need a shower after they start to wear off and I just don't dig the paper bikini either or the spray bottle kinds they have always streaked no matter how hard I tried to follow the directions!Yep,I was orange a lot and at home scrubbing trying to get my skin normal colored again!!

I've found the best is the gradual tan. If your family reunion is a few weeks off it would be best to start today. Jergens has a good one. Its faint so it doesn't look splotchy.
