Again, I liked both...but the winner is Metallica.
They are STILL doing much of the same stuff and same type of music and it's still awesome!
Maybe we'll be fortunate enough to hear it in an elevator one day!

Metallica and Megadeth happened to be 2 of my favorite bands in the 80's. It is a close call as I believe both bands made amazing music. I guess since Dave Mustaine started with Metallica (or Metallica gave him his start), Metallica would ge the knod due to the fact that they have been around a little longer.
Did you know Four Horseman by Metallica and Mechanix by Megadeth are essentially the same song..????

Metallica is far better. Megadeth was purely for shock value, Metallica's "Ride the Lightening" will go down as one of the best rock albums of all time

Metallica hand down. At least until the black album. The early stuff with the amazing guitar riffs!! I don't know why I stopped listening to them. But I guess we all grow out of things at some point.
