When you got your first period was it one of your most embarrasing moments or not? If it was, why was it so embarrasing? Tell me what happened.

I was in 6th grade and our gym class had to run a mile that day. I realized I had started just before the run. I had to approach my gym teacher, who looked like a man, and ask her for help. She gave me the HUGEST pad you could imagine. We than had to all meet in the boys locker room to discuss where to run the mile, which took us around our school. When I got up, the pad had shifted and there was "the spot" that could be seen around the world

Well, when I got my first period I was taking a shower so I didn't notice. And then when the lady that used to wash my clothes saw my towel came to tell me confused what was up with me. I saw my underwear all stained and freaked out big time. I ran around in circles with my underwear down while I called my mom. I was exited and scared and my mom just laughed at me and said that I should stop running in circles, pull my underwear up and go get a pad.
My friend, though, had her first period at school. She didn't notice either. Her whole desk was all smeared with blood. Luckily the uniform was red and so no one noticed. The teacher made all the guys in the classroom leave so that the girls could clean the desk and my friend could wrap something around her waist and could leave. Poor girl.

I got my first period while kayaking, believe it or not! Funny, huh?
I was 12 and with a summer camp. I felt sick and I thought it was just seasickness, so I asked to get out early. When I went to the bathroom later, I saw some stuff in my swimsuit and I thought it was sand, so I didn't worry about it. But I woke up the next morning and sure enough I had gotten my period! I was really embarassed.

Here is something out of a horror story:
I was 14 and at the All-State band festival (ok, so I was/am a total dork!) wearing, what else, white jeans. All of the sudden I knew something was up... no one there had any products to help me! It was horrible, I was there with several bandmates and was in a section filled with guys (low brass and I'm a tuba) and had to disappear for about an hour in my search. Finally it worked out and I just changed into my BLACK concert pants early but it really sucked!!

I was in the eighth grade...and it soiled the back of my dress...and when it was time to go home; I stayed in my seat waiting for everyone to leave the classroom before I got up...but the teacher thought I was being stubborn...I guess she was in a hurry...and wanted me get up with the rest of the class...and I couldn't find a way to tell her I had a problem. She came over and yanked me out of the seat...while everyone oohed and ahhed. I was sooo embarrassed. The good news is, everyone thought she was horrible...and they were deeply sympathetic...'cause we all know what a nightmare it could have been for me...so I got lucky...and managed to live it down.

It wouldve really been embarrassing if people noticed. I was 11 and I was playing chinese jump rope at school, and all of a sudden I felt the leg of my jeans all wet. They were dark blue (thank god!) I had no idea what it was so I just kept playing, when I got home I freaked out cuz there was soo much blood. Lol.

This is the most embarrassing thing I can remember...I was in elementary school when I started my period. and at first I was scared to wear tampons so my mom got me those big "diaper-ish" pads. So I wore those all the time and one day (I guess my pants were a little tight or something) but these girls started making fun of me and telling everyone that they could see my giant pad. It definitely helped me want to wear tampons....

Well my first period wasn't that embarrassing but it was funny. I was 11 and i went to the movies with some of my cousins and his friends. I was holding the popcorn and i had put a lot of hot sauce on it. I always put my legs on top of the seat in front of me and put the popcorn between my legs. when the movie was over i told my cousin to go with me to the restroom cuz I've gotten my pants all full of hot sauce. When we went to the restroom i went to do my business and i noticed my underwear was stain too. So i literally yelled to the whole world: "Dam it, i cant believe the stupid hot sauce got all the way to my underwear!" My cousin started laughin so hard and the old lady that was there said: "Oh mija you probably got your period, that's all." I stared at my cousin and she just nodded and laughed as hard as she could.

I was 11 years old and not told yet about it and was outside playing, jumping over a fire hydrant. I went to sit on it for awhile and got up because I felt wet and that's when I saw the blood and didn't know why I was bleeding and went running to my mom! I thought sitting on the fire hydrant caused me to bleed!

Well, it wasn't me but a friend I was with. She got her first period on a water ride at Six Flags!
