Why does everyone who smoke or not thinks that Marijuana is legal in Jamaica? Which it's NOT. I don't know if it's because Sean Paul sing a song called "We will be Burning" and he mention legalization of marijuana in there or what but, I would like to know the reason why though

I heard that marijuana is not legal in Jamaica, but there is a place in Jamaica designated just for it. Supposedly, there is a fenced off place where people can buy jars of the stuff, but if you take it outside that area, you may be arrested.

Okay, maybe it's not legal, but everybody knows that da Jamaican is da kind bud, mon! Besides, words like "ganja" & "irie" are generally associated with Jamaica, and marijuana seems to go better with reggae music than anything. Just like your name. Nothing like a big phat spliff while listening to roots or dub ;)

This is lame, I've never once heard it's all good in the jamaican hood to buy or sell the ganja.
In fact all I hear about is complaints from people about the laws in Jamaica so you're a wackjob.

Thanks for the insight. I too was informed that marijuana was legal in Jamaica. I guess it is because I have never been there to see for myself and all the information I have, I got from the tele. it is not legal in jamaica, although everyone looks the other way. you can buy it virtually everywhere. there are very larger crops of it on the island and many people use it for their source of income.

My personal opinion is that people are culturally stupid, that is all. Look at all the stupid stereotypes that are out there. Everyone has a stereotype for something.
