It means that they have a vast array of knowledge and are capable of doing many different things. They know alot and can do alot, but never really excel at anything. For example:I know how t odo some minor carpentry, fix minor problems and troubleshoot computers, drive large delivery vehicles, electrical, networking, but I have not mastered any of these skills. I am copetent enough to be able t odo them, but only to a certain extent. For example; I don't have an electrician's liscence, I am not able to set-up and maintain large enterprise networks and idon't know how to fix some computer problems.
That's why the whole "title" is: Jack of All Trades, Master of None.

Its a good thing, it means you have a lot of skills. Usually its "a jack of all trades, a master of none" meaning you can do a lot of stuff but are not an expert in any of em.

They can do just about anything, fix cars, build houses, wire electrical outlets, etc. The saying is usually "Jack of all trades" he can do anything, "Master of none" he considers himself not able to do any of them well enough to be an expert.
My husband considers himself this, however, he's pretty masterful at most things and so far hasn't hurt himself or others while doing them ... :)

I think that it means they can do a bit of everything, and don't really specialize in one specific trade.

They can do many things well. For example, maybe fix a car, applinaces, know politics well, and many other things. Just someone who can do many things and not focused on solely one thing.
