I left my husband of 12years, and met this wonderful guy who treats me like a million dollars, but i have issues trusting what he has to say. I dont want to chase him away and he swears he wont go anywhere but... How much of my guard should i let down?

I know how you feel trust me, but for a relationship to work you have to have trust, life is about chance. If he seems like a genuine good man let him in your heart, you can't blame him for the actions of another man. Don't think of trusting him as opening your heart think of it as this new man being there to protect your heart from being hurt again.

Just remember each person is different and like the song says "the first cut is the deepest" I've been throough it myself and it is very hard when you trust someone and they let you down in the worst way you feel as though you might never get over it but you do and always remember there are no true promises in life one day you may even look at the person you are with and not be in love anymore and need to move on you never know ONE DAY AT A TIME love as long as you can

You will always have the question in the back of your mind as to whether he is telling the truth or being faithful to you, etc. but if you want to have a good relationship and love someone again you have to let some of your guard down. Not saying all of it because you never know. But if you truly want to love again trust him when he says he wont go anywhere and live your life to the fullest and allow yourself to be happy.

Let your guard down woman....... Not all men are the same, I was in a similar situation and it took awhile, but I am completely happy with my current boy after I began to trust him our relationship moved to the next level - now he is even talking the M word!!!

Not all men are bad. It will take time and if this new guy truly cares he will be patient. It is hard not to carry your baggage but dont give this new guy the consequences of your husbands mistakes. Just be happy and enjoy being treated like the Queen you are.

As much as you can, because a relationship is all about trust. if you cant trust the guy you will never be close. let him know you have a hard time trusting anyone.
