Spotting is intermittent and usually happens at an odd time in your cycle. A light period is "on schedule" but spotty. Does that make sense?

A light period is during your regular period time but just not as heavy as normal--Spotting is a little blood that occurs at a different time than your period

In my opinion a light period is when u need a pad but only a bit of blood comes out when u pee and during the day. And spotting is just when there is a bit of blood or pink when u wipe.

A interval is the bleed you get while hormones fall on the finish of your luteul section while the uterine lining sloughs off. (Or, in females who get durations however dont' ovulate, it may be any bleeding lasting a couple of days and heavy adequate to want a pad or tampon.) Spotting is a normal time period -- gentle bleeding (possibly adequate to want a panty liner, possibly simply red on the bathroom paper) that may occur at any time on your cycle, and even at the same time pregnant. If the bleeding is that ordinary time on your interval and enough to require 'female safety' it is most often a interval, even though it is lighter than ordinary for ou.
