Tigers all the way. Getting there will be tough, but look at Houston last year. The tigers not only have the hitting, clutch hitting, power hitting, speed, fielding, throwing, pitching, and the ability to close out games, but they also really want a World Championship. The rejuvinated Detroit fans will also be spurring them on to win as well. Either the Yankees or the Red Sox will not make the playoffs, because the Twins are going to take the Wild Card, and the Tigers will womp on whatever team they are playing against. Once they get to the Fall Classic, it's pretty much made. The National League is a lot weaker this year than the American League. Again, Tigers, hands down.

This should be an interesting summer.

The Yankees have hung in there despite some pretty major injuries.

But in the end, what I like (as a Red Sox fan) is the fact that the Red Sox play a TON of games in Fenway. They are built for that park, and over the past several years, no team has a better record at home than the Red Sox.

In the end, I think that is a good advantage for the Red Sox. They are my pick for the AL East champions.

I would like to say my Yankees, but I'm going to be realistic and say it's going to be the:

Tigers or White Sox ( even though I hate the White Sox )

Obviously the Yankees, cuz they are the best and they always pull ahead in the second half of the season.
