I just joined Yahoo questions and answers and in a short time that I've been here I find that there is so much bitterness between the French and the Italians.
Italy won the World Cup!
Why all the bitterness?

It's because some people are too blind or immature to accept that Italy won and move on. Many people here view Italy as cheaters. They confuse the scandal going on in the Italian league with the Fifa World Cup. Or they simply don't like Italy's defensive style, or Italians (based on the mafia, Mussolini and loud people stereotypes).
I'm Italian and I don't have anything against the French. I even love France as a country, I speak French (which is a really beautiful language) and admire French art and culture. But if some French supporters here offend my team (some don't just voice their opinion, they really use offensive language) or, even worse, offend Italy as a nation, I'll have to stand up for them -- although some comments are so idiotic that they are not even worth my time...

The French are jealous Italy beat them and the rest of the world hates Italians and wanted them to lose. Well too bad. To the victor go the spoils. Italy are the best!!!

The World Cup is the biggest sporting event in the world. There is just so much rivalry. But i do agree the frenchies need to admit their defeat.

The French love to gripe about everything. If it wasn't for the USA they would all be speaking German and eating bratwurst. How soon the cheese eating surrender monkeys forget. France SUCKS.

because Zidane headbutted Matterazzi because he insulted them and the french people thought they would've won had Matterazzi not done that but in truth they would've lost 1:1 aet (1:1 , 1:1) 6:4 PSO.

im english, but i have no problems with portugal. at the end of the day although we all love football.....................IT IS ONLY A GAME!!!
