Ok, whose better Gaborik or Sundin?!?!?

Are you kidding?

It's apples and oranges, a guy who's been playing 5 years and a 15 year veteran.

Sundin's solid. He's a high-scoring tank of a player -- 70 points a season for 13 seasons! -- virtually indestructable, with huge presence on the ice and proven leadership in action and in the locker room.

He's the best of both worlds, new hockey and old hockey. Fast, smart, skilled, and bada*s tough. How many times has he made the All-star team?

Comparing him to Gaborik is just unfair. Gaborik's young, and at least so far, pretty inconsistent... but he might mature out of that. In terms of how it looks right now? Gaborik's nowhere near as tough, nowhere near as durable and certainly isn't the leader. Not yet.

Sundin versus Gaborik?

Sundin, thanks.

When we look on the impact of their careers years later, it will probably be Sundin (hard to tell since Gaborik still has growth potential) but as of now, it's Gaborik. Sundin when healthy is one of the best in the NHL, but his age and recent history has shown that he is not healthy enough to outweigh the talent Gaborik has. Plus, Minni has been one of the most active team getting talent to play with Gaborik, while Sundin's linemates are waning due to cap issues. I think this season, Gaborik will have the better season.

Sundin

Sundin is better...Gaborik seems to be injured far too often and he's always in some kind of contract dispute....give him 10 more years and it'll be easier to compare
Sundin is an under rated player, he really stepped up his game for the leafers in the second half of the season. And he's always surrounded by sub par talent but still manages to get a point per game production. Set him up with a winger and he'd be top centre in the league.

Sundin, but only because Gaborik only plays a few shifts per game.

Sundin is better. But Id rather have Gaborik on my team. He has far more up side.

Sundin all the way...so far....i think if the wild give him more ice time, he'll do well, he was good a few years ago, when he went to the all star game, but now hes almost invisable

Who is? Gabrorik by a mile. He's younger and faster. You get him out of Lemaire's embrace and he'd be Ovechkin-like.

The only reason Sundin gets press is because he's a Make Belief. He's like a bad Kent Nilsson.
