This is a tough question for me...I like both.

I like Survivor's lyrics the best, but I like the keyboard of Journey the best.

When push comes to shove, I think I'd have to pick Survivor.

(I know both were around in the 70s, but I'm talking about their stuff in the 80s.)

Journey as a whole pick....they started in 70's and original band lasted til 1990 I think. They have a tour in 2006 but not original members. If I remember correctly Jonathan Cain was keyboards for original Journey crew as Steve Smith and Steven Perry, Ross Vallory? and Neil Schon....ask me Survivor members?...."which way did they go George...?" They stuck around like other one hit wonders and vanished without showing their talent.

Survivor, I like their lyrics better. Journey... I just love them. I don't know if I could choose. I could listen to a "greatest hits" from either of them over and over and never tire of either one...

I have gained a new appreciation for Survivor over the past 6 months. I guess I had not really paid attention to their lyrics that much before, but I have started to and there are a lot of great lyrics out there!

Survivor?? Eye of the tiger guys?? HMM I would say Journey - but you should have asked Journey with Chicago or REO Speedwagen or Foreigner -- all sound the same and to this day I can't tell them apart.

Definitely Journey. Steve Perry is the best! The only problem I had was actually "watching" him sing. Listening to him was great, but after I saw him the first time, I don't know....he just didn't move in rhythm to the music he was singing! I'd never seen anything like it! A singer with no dancing ability?

Oy! For a good looking guy, you sure have atrocious taste in music! They both stink to high heaven!

Survivor is totally lame, and Steve Perry is the most annoying singer I have ever had the misfortune of hearing!

I was more into INXS, 'Til Tuesday, Modern English, Elvis Costello, Squeeze, that sort of thing.

Talk about comparing apples and oranges.

Survivor had what, like two songs that anyone can name, whereas Journey had a ton of good albums?

There's no comparison between the two.
