Well, if they have to be living today, that is a hard question. No one impresses me very much. Probably have to go with Sheryl Crow. I would want to know if Billy and her really were pealing the labels off a bottle of bud, or if that was just something adapted to the song. I would want to know if Leaving Las Vegas was about her, if not who? And who is Marie (Oh, Marie).

If it could be someone from the past, there are great choices. Thomas Jefferson would be one. What was he thinking when he took his part in the Declaration of Independence? Why he felt he could fool around with slave girls? Did he think he would be a bigger than life Historic Figure?

Better yet, how about an interview with Jesus, or Mohammad, or Buddha? "So, Jesus, is it your intent to start a religion?". "We love your words Jesus, do you have something to stop hate and war?" , "Are you the Son of God, as are we all? or are we not the sons of God, but you are? Lots of good ones there.

I would interview Isaac Asimov... as regards to the questions, well, there would just be so many. After all, there are so many levels to his books and yet they are all interconnected. How was he able to maintain that level of reality throughout all of his stories, short and long, and how did he jive being a scientist himself with the worlds and societies he created... or was that exactly where they came from? What was his inspiration for particular stories or characters and how did he develop them? How did the cooperation (on his stories and books) between his wife and himself operate? Did his stories initially affect his standing in the scientific community in a positive or negative way... and how/why? With the advent of recent technology, would his predictions change? How, as a scientist, was he able to communicate his ideas about technology so fruitfully... and without "dumbing down" the text or resorting to jargon?

And the list goes on...

I would ask if him if he was able to go back in time and change it, would he?
