Blistex, Carmex, earwax.. there some other meds but they r like $20..
keep it dry and don't try to bust it, cause it will spread...

Abreva works really well. I consider it the best.
Herpecin -L works on some people.
Large doses of Vitamin B-12 and Lycine help too.
I know how irritating it can be but don't pick at it, lick it, touch it in any way because it just makes it worse.
You also need to figure out what caused it to flare up.
Were you stressed out?
Did you sunburn or windburn your lips?
Think about it so you can try and control the amount of flareups you have.
If you sunburned or windburned (being out on a windy day) use Chapstick with a SPF factor of at least 15, 30 is better.
If you get them really bad or have a lot of flareups, see your doctor for a prescription drug that you take daily.

Don't pick at it just use some car max if that doesn't
work to a good doctor or the drugstore.They will
probably give you cream with medical up in it.
