If you have 9 blanks _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ and those blanks can be filled with any number 0-9, and the numbers can repeat. Example 333444555. How many possibilities are there, please tell me how you got it.

there are 10^9 possible combinations, the reason is that on the first spot there are 10 different possibilities, so is there on the 2nd and the 3rd and so on... So when tere are 9 blanks there are 10^9 combinations... if there were 25 blanks it would be 10^25 combinations. If the numbers must not repeat themselves it is 10*9*8*7...

I think it is 9 times 8 times 7 times 6 times 5 times 4 times 3 times 2 That is what I remember from some class

u said there are 9 blanks so the answer is 2 ^ 9 = 512 possibilites

if it 0 -9 there are ten so answer is 2 ^ 10 = 1024 possibilites

Since there are ten different numbers you can use each time, it would be 10^9 or 10*10*10*10*10*10*10*10*10 or 1,000,000,000
possibilities.

you will enter from the number given which is 9 all the way to you end to 1. thats the way you could get the possibility for 9x8x7x6x5x4x3x2x1=362880. or any other number.
