Well...It all depends upon the relation you are having with both of them. Sometimes, friends are more closer to you rather than family members because of generation gap or differences in thoughts and emotions. Actually at the time of birth nobody relates to you in any way and only after spending time with your family, you become their part. Now if your feelings and emotions are better understood by anybody outside the family, you can have more trust and belief in him. Similarly, nobody knows what kind of thoughts and feelings are being developed in your heart and mind and if a person who is very close to you takes things as per his understandings towards your mind and emotions, he is more important person to you than the family members.

With me some times Friends have beat out my family-since they were there for me and still treated me nice when MY FAMILY stole my keys-my daughter-make that x daughter who thinks she can pull my strings (which I don't have) At a family reunion I even Had my billfold stolen which hurt most of all for the simple fact that they can be so cruel I am even if I have to undergo hypnosis if I have to inorder to rid myself of the emtional pain I have endured!! Don't get me wrong I still LOVE them I just don"t LIKE some of them very much!!! Wish I had that wonderful loving kind of family I always dreamed about my oldest son is keeping me going right now!-just by being himself the super great guy he is!!!
