Tylenol or Midol.
And here's a trick I was taught in high school. It *really does* help! Stand with your feet about 1.5 feet away from a wall. Without moving your feet, lean forward and place your elbows on the wall. Now slowly--without moving your feet-- bring your abdomen forward and press it against the wall. This gives a great abdominal stretch and helps to give releif. If the stretch is too much on your back, shorten the distance to about 1 foot and try again.
Sometimes, but not always, a warm bath can help too.

800mg of Motrin (ibuprofen) usually helps my worst ones. There was a time when I took that and 1500mg of Tylenol (acetaminophen). This is way over the normal dosing, but it worked and I only did it once and a couple of times twice in a day, and only for a few days. Again, I'm not saying these are safe dosages at one time, but since they are both different ingredients, they can be taken together, but spacing 2 hours apart is ideal to be more safe. Another thing is a small amount of alcohol, such as a glass of wine, or a shot of liquor (unless you're a recovering alcoholic). The heating pad was also a good idea. Oh, but don't take the large amount of Tylenol and alcohol both, they decrease clotting factors, and you can have bleeding problems!

My daughter swears by Aleve. She use to complain and want me to pick her up from school during that time. Now she keeps a bottle of Aleve in her purse. I also use Aleve for other muscle aches, like when I have been exercising or working out in the yard

Heating pads work wonders. Also, you can take tylenol or advil, they work well also.

A shot of whiskey is another idea, but I think you are way too young for that one.

You might want to tell your doctor because if they are severe it could be something worse than just period cramps.

Midol, Motrin, Pamprin, hot water bottle, hot shower, drink lots of water. That's really all you can do - and its your brother do you really need an excuse to kick his butt - I didn't think so!
