I am so sick of the snide comments and racism!
Why do you all insist on calling us "flightless" birds?
We are birds. Just because we cannot fly does that make us any less of birds? Do you call the aviaries "swimmless" birds? I think not!
I've had it with you all!

Viva la Penguin!

Dear Penguin,

You may not be aware of it, but most people adore you. And anyone who has been privileged to see a picture of you "swimming" in the water realizes that you are not flightless at all, your element of flight is just water and not air. You are admired for your selfless and sacrificial care of your eggs, for the involvement of both father and mother and in the birth process.

My Dear Penguin, you are loved and cherished and bring joy to all.

I don't know that your problem counts as racism. "Speciesism", maybe. Besides, penguins aren't the only birds that can't fly. Ostriches, emus, and the common chicken rarely get off the ground, either. And there are lots of birds that swim. So relax a little. Go eat a fish or something.

THE WISE MAN LEARNS THE MOST FROM THE FOOLS

Have you ever wondered why the wise always stay happy and the fools get mad so often?

Because they never bother too much about others viewpoints or try to get them to agree with them ever, and that is how they manage to keep their cool and their smiles intact, while living amidst a crazy world with crazy viewpoints and crazier lifestyles.

The wise man keeps learning from the fools and keeps getting wiser, while the fools stay mad at the wise and the rest of the world as they are at themselves for not being able to change anyone.

To try and change or influence any one is a sheer waste of energy, at best we can change is our own self, so let’s start from there.

So while the rest of us, go mad, trying to change the world, the wise ones know that the only way to change the world is to first be the change you wish to see in the world, so they get busy changing themselves into a happier, wiser and more peaceful men, they know peace is a sure sign of a wise man.

Were you one of them in the March of the Penguin? Or are you the one endosed by Linux? Or did you appear in that episode of The Simpsons where Homer was the captain of a nuclear sub?

Anyways, if you want to be considered as a "race", you guys have to come up with your own country and stuff, have a flag, captial, government, immigration laws, military, school, hospital... that's a lot of work you know.

I love penguins, i saw a lot of them in South Africa.
Maybe you can make friends with an Ostrich. It's a very strong bird and it can also not fly. And it lives in your neighborhood.

Penguins actually fly under water. They flap their wings. Swimming is with a tail or legs. This is a cute joke, I needed a laugh. They should name a football team after you, "The Fighting Penguins"

Prejudice stems from ignorance. Those who are incapable of seeing others in a different light then they see themselves become locked into a vicious cycle of intolerance and hate. Unfortunately those who perpetuate prejudice learned it well from their parents and peers. Don't let those other birds up set you...tis their ignorance that will lead to their ultimate demise. Stay buoyant and keep swimming. *wink*

Do penguins have any solidarity with Ostriches?
There might be more similarity than just flightlessness.
