Has anybody ever heard of eating mac & cheese with A-1 steak sauce while they were pregnant to try and naturally induce labor. If so, has it worked for anyone? I'm 39 weeks pregnant and almost effaced and slightly dialated. Please let me know.

DO NOT START PUSHING as Maria said to (honestly!) You can make your cervix swollen and will lose any progression you have already made.

Because you are already effacing the best for you to do is walk and let gravity help that little one come down.

Intercourse at this point will not help as much.

Your almost there!! Congratulations!!

Mild exercise will help induce labor and Pitocin also. I don't think Mac and cheese and A-1 steak sauce will do it.

This is ture. take some fresh ginger root cut it up and boil it in a little water for about 30 min and drink it like a tea. When I was pregnant and close to due date, I was anxious to deliver the baby and had no symptoms of labor at all. My mom told me to drink this and no joke, within 3 hours I was in labor.

I've never heard of FOODS inducing labor. I do know that some clinics just have the woman walk around for a while...

Lots of walking. Also, nipple stimulation. Those both make sense, as nipple stimulation produces pitocin, which is the hormone that induces labor. I've also heard of tomatoes, but I don't know why it would work, probably an old wives tale.

Never heard of it, but when I was 40 weeks with my oldest son, it was wheat harvest. I went for a combine ride, and went into labor a few hours later. LOL..okay, it was past time anyway, but makes a good story to tell my Son.

Sounds pretty good to me but unfortunately it will not induce labor! Hang in there.

Eat spicy food & have some hot tea. Start pushing even when you get small contractions & it'll help.
