I guess its the modern age notion that all are created equal. Well you see, people (sex, age, race, beliefs, culture, tradition...et. al) are relentless in making themselves heard. Being equal is one of them. I believe in those too but i would feel great if everyone would start giving respect for each and everyone's belief. As long as no one would start hurting or even get violent if they dont agree with somebody else. THAT'S LIBERATION TO ME.

I have wandered the same thing. I am housewife and mother of 4 and my JOB is to clean, cook, take care of the kids and anything that has to do with them, grocery shopping, laundry and everything else that a housewife is supposed to do. I have had many discussions with some of my friends about them getting mad at their husbands because they won't do anything around the house. If the husband goes to work, or if its a situation where the woman goes to work, then it is the responsibility of the opposite spouse to take care of the house and all at home. Just like my husband is serious about his job, I am about mine. This is my company and I have to get the best product, my kids, out into the world to do the best that they can. That is a big responsibility to be a mom and I don't know what the big deal is with being a woman. I chew with my mouth closed, don't burp or fart, with people around, cross my legs, don't dress like a hoochie, expect my man to do all the "man" things. And I teach my girls to do the same and when my boys get to the ages where they can start learning to be "men", then that is my job too.
I don't know if that answered you question, but that is my opinion. If you are a woman, be one and be happy with what you have. Most people don't think you have to sacrifice or give up anything to be a woman, but you can still be feminine and kind without having to give it up. And to reply to your response about being mean spirited and frustrated not being attractive, its not. I am not the prettiest woman in the world, but I am good looking, and I think what makes me attractive and loved by my family, and friends, is my personality and manners. That is all that it comes down to is manners. It doesn't cost anything to get them but, in the end, it will take you far!

You posted about US women not knowing how to cook and you wonder why you got nasty replies? Sweetie think about what you just said for a moment and I think you can probably answer yourself.

It's almost gone. Women and men are equals, now. You really need to wake up. (and by the way, can't cook and have no interest in learning. if he wants a home cooked meal let him go back to his mamas because nothing you fix will ever be as good as mamas)

I was born in '53 and yes, women's lib DID do alot to destroy women and especially their relationships with men and it's affected the men negatively, too....I really don't think modern men or women have a concept of what we used to call a "lady". I'm with you all the way and thank you for expressing my sentiments exactly.

I absolutely agree with that, even my husband tells me that hes lucky hes got a women that can cook and take care of him. I think alot of their anger is because there men problaby nag to them about that, and they dont know how to do these simple tasks.

When I put on my "girlie" act I get a lot of sexual attention. When I just act naturally I get a lot of respect.
