Look for stained glass wholesale outlets, they often have different price levels - retail for small orders and big discounts for huge orders. That's where you'll get your best prices. I'm pretty sure you won't find what you need at a craft/hobby store - it's pretty specialized equipment. Look for a supplier near where you live - shipping is very expensive because the glass has to be packed in wooden crates to ship, and some companies will not ship the chemicals.

A basic glass grinder will cost about $150 to $350; a decent soldering iron $50 or more; a good cutter $30 to $50; add solder, flux & other chemicals, lead came or copper foil, and safety equipment, at least another $100 to $150; then there's the glass, which can cost between $1.00 and $20.00 per square foot.

If you haven't done it before, take a class first to see if you like it - it's a bit of an investment. You'll also need a big area for storing the glass (it needs to remain upright) and a non-carpeted area for grinding for easy cleaning.

On a smaller scale there isn't much equipment required. Most craft stores carry everything you need to get started. (cksq)
