its not ok.. breastroke and fly you must do an open turn touching the wall with both hands before you start rotating

There was a time in some states where in the IM you could do a flip turn from back to breast, but I think thats over.

I believe flip turns will take over soon, and you will be allowed.. but for now its still illegal

no you cannot do flip turns. You only do flip turns when swimming freestyle and backstroke. If You are swimming breaststroke or butterfly you do an open turn. Open turns are when you grab the wall with both hands, then pull your legs up"elbow your brother" with your left arm, and "call your mother" with the other and push off the wall on your stomach.

There is a saying that goes with the breastroke turn, Elbow your brother and call your mother. It means that you touch with two hands, pull your left arm back and fling your right arm over your head (Unless this is a 25 you're talking about). Then there would be no turns.

i'm sorry you probably did no longer get any earlier information!!!! whilst a complicated swimmer, i want each and all the main factors in the previous a meet. i'm going to tell you as much as i will... first of all, in a flipturn, the assumption is to teach with the top a million/2 of your physique. form of bend your top a million/2 over and then turn. when you turn attempt stressful to no longer breathe off the wall. As of what to assume, it is not that i'm particular. All swimming pools are distinctive. this is recommended to get in touch with an experienced team member to work out in case you need to deliver a folding backyard chair, placed on heat or cool climate clothing, etc. i could advise ingesting a variety of of carbohydrates and not ingesting too plenty in the previous activities. believe me, i've got thrown up in a pool in the previous. As a sparkling swimmer, you will in all risk be competing in the 50 and a hundred freestyles and/or the 50 and a hundred backstrokes. that's no longer all that undesirable. For freestyle, they'll blow the whistle as quickly as. do no longer step on the block for that one. they'll blow it lower back, and this time hop on the block. In backstroke, they'll blow the whistle as quickly as and you HOP in the water. the 2d time you pull youerself up on the wall. some information? attempt to no longer breathe each stroke on the freestyle. additionally, on th lower back, attempt to count variety your strokes interior the flags. it may be around 4 or 5. on the fourth or 5th stroke, turn over and do a flipturn. sturdy success! illegal. you only do a flip turn in freestyle and maybe backstroke. instead:
1. when you approach the wall, grab the wall with both hands
2. drop one arm
3. turn towards the arm you dropped
4. push off the wall
5. do a streamline
6. continue
