It is never right to lie at anytime. Why? Because it is hard to lie, you lie, then you have to create another lie to cover the other lie, so on and so forth. Pretty soon you are all balled up, you are unable to remember which lie is which to cover which lie. In legal parlance, it is better to keep ones mouth shut. Then to be made a fool and purger.

Its only okay to lie if you need to cover your *** and you know you wont be caught.

when ur trying not to hurt someone's feelings...
ex: u r having a 25th b day party. u decide to have it at a club. now ur neighbor that ur not 2 fond of says "happy b day. r u having a party?" u say "no, just a family party" because u didnt invite him. that is ok cuz ur trying not to hurt his feelings.
