Well, when you pick a four leaf clover, you kill it's luck so I would leave the four leaf clover and not worry about the ladder.

I'd pick it because four-leaf-clovers are rare and kinda neat. As for the superstitious aspects implied in your question, I'm not superstitious.

Technically the its bad lock to WALK under a little, but it should be ok to just lean over and pick it up, since leaning over isn't technically walking since you aren't moving under the bridge.
