Depending on traffic, road conditions and how often you need to stop for site seeing, fuel, food and lodging, 3 days, max. You'll be travelling through OK, TX, & NM. Remember a LOT of big rigs travel these highways and many of them are two lane roads (each direction) so there's a lot of passing that goes on and that requires an alert driver.
The distance is about 1,300 miles. If you split the distance into thirds, that's 433 miles a day. Say you drive for 6.5 hours a day at an average speed of 65 ~ 70 MPH, that puts you there in slightly less than 19.5 hours of driving.
Now, if your husband wants to drive, drive, drive..., he may be able to make it in one day, but that's a LONG day of being behind the wheel and is a dangerous proposition. 1,300 miles @ 65MPH = 20 hours.
Be safe, get there alive.

Approximately
18 hours, 40 minutes
Probably a little less because of travel speed and things, but that should be about right not including stops.
