I love Limewire. (You can get it on http://www.limewire.com)
Here are my reasons:
1. It works for Mac as well as for Windows! (I'm a Mac user).
2. It's fast and it doesn't make your computer slow as Kazaa
3. I have never got any viruses there
4. If I go offline, next time I get online the file will continue downloading where it was left last time
5. It's free!

because with this programs you can download full cds or just the songs you want you can download movies and the besting of all is that the more people are downloading that faster it get
everybody shares a pice and everybody is sharing dose pices

you download 1 i download 2 and then you download 3 and i give you 2 and I download 4 then you give me 3 and i give you 4 and so on but with lots of users
edonkey is too slow they have a big problem with connecting and you have to be download this file call server.met in other for the program to work
kazaa,limewie and morpheus and full of viruses and spyware
torrents you go to a website like torrentspy.com you get comments and ratings on the videos music and wherever but if you are planing to download software download shareaza it connects to 3 networks and is very powerfull it uses networks like G1(kazaa, limewire) G2(shareaza) EDK(Edonkey and emule)

soulseek is the best for music. It's great for rare music especially—i always find what i'm looking for. there are also chat rooms where you can chat with other music fanatics. And best off, it's completely ad-free and spyware free

I am not condoning file sharing in any way, however, I like Frostwire, spyware free, virus free (but be wary of the files you download), http://www.frostwire.com/ I like its interface and easy to use nature.

i myself prefer "emule", bcz i think it is more safe and easy to use and supports many servers.
