Jay-Z is a alright rapper but he is just making a name of himself like all other rappers, and he has his label

They have established thier names. Jay-z started of as a rapper, then went to being the Ceo of Roc-a-fella records, along with Damon Dash. Puff Daddy, started off as a producer, and was really good with it, then he started to rap....not so great, and then he still produces and opened his own label Bad Boy Enterainment, and Bad Boy South.

They both just took a chance of a life time that few people get. Anybody could have done that with out music.
