In an email exchange with a friend, she suggested:

"At the García caves! (those are some caves just outside Monterrey, Mexico). There is a "room" with 2 skylights on top where the light enters, outside is day but inside is night and the skylights would simulate the moonshine!"

Does that sound romantic and memorable, or does it have the potencial for a flop? Would you like it or not?

(Those caves are a turistic spot in Monterrey)

How could that possibly be considered a flop? No, I'm not a girl, but the fact that the guy took the girl ANYWHERE remotely interesting to engage to her is a sign that he cares. It may have not been a fancy restaurant or during a romantic sunset, but it still took thought and effort. Good for him.

It would be memorable, that is for sure- romantic, I'm not so sure. It would depend on if the girl is a naturist or just someone who likes the outdoors. I personally would think of it as romantic as long as we were not in the section that has the tourists walking through it.

I think that is a fantastic Idea. My husband proposed to me, no ring, but in a very romantic spot. Cataratas Iguazu in Argentina. It was a great surprise and very romantic.

Well, in my case anywhere my boyfriend gave me an engagement ring would be romantic, not to mention a miracle.

I think that would be romantic as long as you got on your knees. That is crucial to the proposal. Good luck!
