I think you must qualify as Christian first. Dr. Frank Page has made it clear that Southern Baptists will not participate in secular politics in this coming elections. The Southern Baptists are the largest voting population in the U.S. as far as the Christian community goes. Here is some of his statements since he was elected President this month.

My answer to your question would be YES, if you took the word "Christian" out.
I can't find any difference between Christian voters and any other voters, but they all are used by the politicians to get in and then to stay in power.
The politicians of both or all parties will say anything, promise anything, do anything to get the soft job.
Once in power, all promises are forgotten. The voter is of no importance - - until the next election is approaching.

Yes, some (most) of our political leaders use our belief structure to gain and manipulate. Take the second coming of Christ, any christian out there that knows anything is ready for this event, our political leaders use support of the Jews and Isreal to sway our votes and choices in government. We do not have to fall prey to them, open your eyes and see the real truth in what they are doing and saying. By the way it's not just christians it's people of all beliefs, they try to use homosexuality, minorities, women, anything they can get their hands on. My advice, stand behind the person(not the political party) that best stands for your views on things and how they should be done. Don't standbehind someone just because they say they are a christian, Satan knows the bible too, and He also invades our churches and lives thru believers who have fallen astray from a close relationship with God.

Aren't all voters being used as pawns in games of power?

I'm Christian and I vote, but I don't think I'm a pawn primarily because the traditional "get out a vote" issues people claim are used to rally Christians don't really inspire me. I'm far more concerned with taxes, economics and foreign policy than gay marriage and the wording of the pledge.

Yes, same as the politicians are trying to use all of us. The Christians are easier to toy with than some because they have been trained, often since birth, to respond to certain topics - abortion, gay marriage, etc. What is unfortunate is that these people don't pay enough attention to what is actually going on to realize that they are being used like this.

This is why I attempt to remain largely independant, politically speaking.

BINGO! Two words: RICK SANTORUM.
Two more words:TERRY SCHAIVO.

And Democrats and Independents cannot be "Values Voters".Hmmm.

THIS is why Red States are turing BLUE.The voters are saying "Enough is Enough of this right-wing garbage!"

Did I mention BINGO!

What religion is to most people in private and the hideous circus the Republican party has turned it into are two different things entirely.Republicans DO NOT represent the interest of the working class, never did, never will, and abstract "morality" is their last resort to pull the wool over our eyes.

And now we're seeing through it.Pawns no more!

Blue Rising.
