Why?
1. Some people are just hateful.
2. Canadians are loved worldwide; Americans are not.
3. Canada has pretty money in a rainbow of colors.
These are not good reasons, but hate is seldom for a good reason.

Speaking as a Canadian, I do not think I've ever met a single American who hates Canadians. Few Americans even think about Canadians. Just like I rarely think about the Finnish. We just don't have enough influence on the Americans to be truly hated.

I'm and American. I know many Americans. I have never heard that America or Americans hate Canada or Canadiens.
