Do you need a valid ID to get into bars/clubs or can it be expired? if you guys know it would help me out...thanks

I was able to get in when mine was expired. I think they mostly just need to see the year you were born.

By law you need a valid ID. For example an ID that is not expired but depending on where you go and how busy the bar is sometimes you can get in. My underage brother was using my old expired ID to get into club for about 2 months but the club bouncers did notice the epired ID and he was not allowed in. I would go ahead and try your luck it not like you going to go to jail or get a fine if they notice that its expired they;ll let you know and you can play it off and say "Oh I didnt know that it was can you just let me in this time".
All in all just got get a new one peace

most places do want a valid ID. but if you know someone that works there they would probably let it go and just look at the year you were born.

Pretty much any place will accept an expired driver's license as long it is authentic...they don't care if you can drive or not, but need to be able to legally prove you are over the age of required by law wherever you are going. If they have any reason to suspect that the I.D. is fake or that you are underage, they do not how to allow you to be admitted.

It has to be valid, if its expired you are SOL.
