i've been saying that for the longest time.... But as soon as someone supports the theory behind communism everybody screams NAZI, but in truth communism is a very effective govermental solution and can be just as bad as Capitalism... The effects are the same but the process is different.

I think you mean capitalism or more accurately Democracy as conservatism isnt a form of government. And... To be more accurate, America is a Republic.

But to answer your question, Democracy looks great to me. I can go where I want, do what I want, have the job that I want and the people have more freedom in this country than any other. America and the American way of life is still the best in the world. Our standard of living is higher than any other countries. Our taxes are low especially compared to an EU country. Communism has already proved to be a failure. Look at the former Soviet Republic. Russia has now teetered with half hearted attempts at opening up capitalist beliefs. Marxism may look good on paper to some but in practice, its not how I want to live my life. However, if you feel America should resort to Communism, you could always move. Thanks

I don't know where you live or come from but why don't you move to China or Vietnam or better yet, North Korea and live there for awhile. People tent to grow bored with what they have after awhile. They don't value what they have until they lost it, and when they realize they lost it it's too late.
One thing to keep in mind, there's nothing more valuable than Freedom. So enjoy while you can and don't loose it. There are a lot of people in this world who do not have the Freedom you have, and those people are living in those Communism countries. Think about it before you give it a happy face.

You are off by about 100 years. Communism might not have been looking so bad in an industrial age. Communism makes no sense in a society where individuals have more and more access to information and so are more and more capable in making better decisions about their lives. The saving grace of American society is that it affords individuals the chance to shape their lives according to their will. This model will become more and more effective as individuals have more information and can make better decisions about their lives; there is no way a centralized government could compete in optimizing decision-making capability and resource allocation in the information age. Looking to communism--or even socialism--today for a solution would be to forego decades of progress and enormous human potential. The enterprise society with free markets is the way to a peaceful future. To the extent conservatives strive for that, they are on the right track. Liberals are simply holding back the advancement. (as ironic as that is.)

Isn't this one bright. All you have to do is research communist countries of the past and present to see that violence is much worse, corruption is worse, poverty still exists(sorry hippies), and many times minorities are beaten, tortured, raped, burned, decapitated, sodomized, and mass murdered. In fact if you like you can do a search for some video footage of these things and see if it really floats your boat. I saw one where a guy was being held down by one guy while another cut his head off with a survival knife. The part that really got to me was when his screams slowly faded into a gurgle because his wind pipe was cut open and he was drowning in his own blood. I know some of you will think that I am being too graphic, but there are some idiots on here who need to know about the realities of life outside of our comfortable little country.

Sorry communism - as we have seen it in the past 2 centuries - is a flawed and dying system.

Conservatism is also dying due to being hijacked by all the fake conservative and Neo-conservatives and No Nothing / Flat Earth party members and radical evangelicals.

Actually, yes. Communism is the polar opposite of facism. What about a middle ground rather than resorting to extremes?

OK comrade! If you want to live in a country with no rights, rampant poverty, and an entirely corrupt government with no accountability whatsoever, you can. However, I prefer the American way of life, flawed as it is.

People in life who want something usually work for it....those who can't work for it should be taken care of (this is a small group of people) Those who want people to take care of them and not work should be exiled.

Communism would strip free thinking...yeah that's a lot better
