It could have just been a coincidence, but I went on the ferris wheel when I first got pregnant and had a miscarriage very soon after. (16 weeks) So I don't have any scientific proof, but if you want your baby, why risk it? My vote is definitely not safe! OK, I just went back and read everyone else's answer,I would say there are too many people on both sides here, the safest thing you could do is pick up the phone and call your doctor's office, I'm sure the nurse can answer this one for you. DO NOT GO on the ride till you ask someone who is educated on this subject, rather than relying on yahoo answers people's personal experience and some others who may not have a personal stake in this but just want to throw in their opinion too. This is too important. If anything should happen to the baby, are you going to console yourself with "Well, a bunch of strangers told me it would be all right"? If your pregnant, taking care of the child starts now, please ask someone qualified to answer! I don't mean to sound hateful or anything, I guess because of what I went through, I'm just really opinionated about this. You can still go to the fair or amusement park and have fun doing other things.

tHE moment you find out your pregnant your body carries anothe rlife right? so you have to do all within your power to sustain that life from the moment you find out.
I would not recommend at all tha tyou go on entertainment rides.
Unless you want to loose yor baby, which I am sure you dnt. One never knows how your body will react to anything while your pregnant. Why subject it to and subject yr baby to risks? I f you asked the question it means you yourself do not feel safe. So avoid rides, Think before you do other things , think of yr child first. I did that when I got pregnant, I have a severe and terminal illness that at the time I had no idea I had. However I did all within my power to make sure my baby was goihng to be the healthiest. I ate well very well. I had regular doctor check ups, I took my vitamins, I bought an encyclopedia for mom's to be and the baby. I informed myself on all I could to do my best so my baby girl would be born normal and well. I got very ill the last trimester and lost weight. I had to have labor induced and doctors delivered a beuaitful healthy baby girl that was trully healthy thanks to my efforts, even though I almost died from the pregnancy itself and was found out to have Cystic Fibrosis.
I was the 252 woman in all USA to have been able to have a baby with C.F. A miracle in itself, but had i not taken care of myself as I did, my baby would not have been born healthy and she is 19yrs oldnow and beautiful and healthy.
So take care of your baby and yourself, your baby will thank you for all of it later on.

No, your body will not handle the stress b4 u got pregnant. So just sit out and watch from the side lines . . But there are plenty of other things you can do while pregnant. . like swimming, dancing, going to see theri 3-d shows, a ferris wheel , ya know the low key rides . .

If in doubt, opt out.
Even though you are only 3-4 weeks along why take the risk of harming the fetus for just a 3minute joy ride.
Congratulations by the way

Seriously 3 weeks pregnant you haven't even missed your period so how would you know? Go ahead and ride, the body has been through much worse in history and the human population has not suffered one bit. Best wishes

Most rides will give a warning if you are pregnant to avoid this ride. It is just better to stay away from entertainment rides during pregnancy totally.

I would say no because you are in a delicate state of pregnancy. It is very easy to miscarry in the first trimester. So, no rollercoasters- you can probably ride the feriswheel or the merri-go round if your stomach could take it. Any thing else,NO!

you should not go on the rides, but if you went on them before you knew you were pregnant, dont worry there is nothing you can do now and you will probaby be okay. I went to six flags before i knew I was pregnant and rode many rides, everything was fine!
good luck and be safe

How do you even know you are pregnant in the 3rd-4th week? Anyways, if you are for sure that you are pregnant I would sit it out. No need to chance it.

Technically it is the same as drinking before you realise you are pg. Most people do that kind of stuff before they realize they and their babies come out just fine. Most people don't find out they are pregnant until they are like 6 to 12 weeks!!
