Good Times was a show that defined Black America. It was a very good show, until they took John Amos off ( he played James Evans) after that the show lost it's spunk to me. They should have kept James and the show would lasted for more than five (5) years. It ran from 1974-1979. DAMN, DAMN, DAMN!!!!!!!

I really like it even now, that the cultural climate have changed it has lot of relevance although I have not seen all the shows . It also helps the younger floks to see another side of our history. I re-learn a lot from that show

i think the dad reminds me of the character calibos from clash of the titans. not sure exactly what thats about but i really like clash of the titans.., and calibos' ring. wouldnt mind having one of those owls either. O, that reminds me of this lady we saw releasing the cracken in front of krispy kreme today, it was horribly painful, and i think there may be state laws against that.

i dont like it much. they just get too involved with stuff like black power and "their" rights, esp. the youngest boy and his school projects. it's ok for one or two episodes but they just get carried away w/ it.
