If so, have you ever felt like you've encountered one?

I have an equation, GHOSTS=IMAGINATION. I think sometimes people let their imagination run wild in certain situations. Their will be strange things when you're in strange places because that's what you're looking for and your mind sort of helps out.

Yes I do believe in ghosts or spirits. I haven't seen one but I have had "encounters". I believe houses or places hold phenomenom or can be "haunted". One experience was when I spent the night at my grandmother's house years ago before she died. I had taken her to my cousin's wedding and spent the night. My daughter and I settled in to sleep in my grandfather's old bedroom. My grandmother and grandfather hadn't shared a room for many many years. Less than an hour after my grandmother had gone to bed and after my daughter had fallen asleep beside me there was a series of very loud noises in the hallway. Out of slight fear I didn't check it out - thinking it may be my dead grandfather who had alzheimers or worse - his mother or father who also were senile and died in the house The next morning I asked my grandmother if she slept well or left her room. She hadn't. My grandmother has passed on since then. She died in the basement, in the home she loved. I often think about calling up the new owners of the house and asking them if they have had encounters. My mother's family lived in that house for over 50 years and I believe that if a place can be haunted - that would be a place.

I believe for many reasons - this "hearing things one night" only being on small reason. When I was growing up, my mother used to tell me a story of when she saw a ghost. My parents have always had a wierd affinity for cemetaries. It's just "normal" thinking for me.

Yes and I've put questions similar on here. In the last couple years there has been a white hazy figure (not a human figure outline) that is in our apartment. I see it out of the corner of my eye, I look AT it and then it disappears. My granddaughter also sees something and looks up smiling -- her mom even said "what is she looking at" and I said "we have a ghost" and she said "oh that explains it" without a flinch because she believes too. It hasn't scared me. It doesn't go anywhere else I go. People on here said I had cataracts (and I don't - had eye exam not too long ago) and other things but I KNOW what I see when it is there. I see it almost every evening at least once. It's more of a calming feeling I get than anything. I keep saying I hope it is my dad......but, who really knows?

Yes I believe in ghost because I saw it with my own eyes. But I did not see the face I saw the legs and sometimes the back view only. When I was alone eating my lunch in the house.I saw somebody passes by so I was wondering who. So I hurriedly follow but I saw only a very fair skin legs and its gone. Then one time I was cooking I saw somebody passes by outside and I saw the back view only. But I wonder why so fast and its gone.I did not even hear a his foot step.

I can't say I don't belive, but I can say that I have never encountered one. I did feel like my dad was standing next to me one time after he had passed, but I am not sure if you could call that an encounter.

I drove thru one. It was late (2am) was heading home from work, saw the figure of a man crossing the street. He was in all black except for the shine of his sneaker in my head lights. I slammed on the brakes, but skidded thru the figure. Had a feeling of fingers running thru my hair and felt like I was hit with a sudden blast of cold air. Got out of the car and searched the road and ditches. There was nothing.
