its the weather, be grateful for them, you'd probably have a plague of flies otherwise. Seriouslythough, they really are not going to do you any harm at all

Check out the links below -- the first is a step-by-step on how to get rid of spiders in the house, the second is for about 7 other tips from folks at eHow.com on more of the same. Then we have Dollar Stretcher and About.com -- if you google "rid house of spiders" you'll get even more links. Good luck!

The person above mentioned insect bombs. I have seen these in pet shops (larger ones) next to the flea spray and stuff.

I had ants once in my house and I bought Raid in a red can which you spray all around your doors, windows and vents and stops ants coming in. I noticed after that that I no longer got spiders either so you could try it!

Or you could just enlist a big brave man to squish them for you (and then hoover them up!!)

First off, get yourself a Dehumidifier!

They like it where there is a damp, and dark place. If you dehumidify the air, you take one of the requirments from them...(They can get moisture from damp wood to live on).

I would get a wet&dry vac, and fill it half way with water, and suck them critters down into the water! (I did this one, when I moved into my house, the basement was full of webs and spiders, killed them all that way).

If you have "earth" in your basement, then cover it, because the moisture is coming from there to keep the whole house dame with humidity and spiders will thrive in this ...

I wish you well..

Jesse

Don't its supposed to be lucky having spiders in your house and don't kill them please, if you just get a bit of card to flick them onto to pop back outside again its much better than killing them, remember the old saying; If you want to live and thrive, let a spider run alive.

"Lizards R Us" Seriously, some of the best hotels and homes in the tropics keep lizards as pest control. I have heard that there are businesses that rent lizards to those who don't want one permanently.

The only thing you can do is do a insect bomb.. I wish I could tell you where you can get but I never had to bomb my home before... but my parents have.

I hope that helped. Good luck

Try spraying bug spray around the outside of your house too.

same as for cats and ants, AK47. Spiders are easier to hit than ants, as they're bigger, but you'll use a lot of ammunition
