I used to own a 1982 XZ550RJ (Vision). I'm not sure what box the manual is in right now. Seat height was approx. 28-30 inches. This can change slightly when you adjust shock preload. Weight was around 550 lb. I think. Gas tank held aboutt 4.5 gal. Bike looked top-heavy, but was real easy to ride.

Wow, that's going back. I had an '82 Vision many many moons ago. It was basically the same bike as the '83 but it had a fairing. I'm sure I don't still have my manual laying around but I can say that when I had it I was average build -- 5'9" 150 lbs. -- and the seat height and bike weight were not an issue. I could easily put my feet on the ground while sitting down. And, as I unfortunately found out, I could easily pick the bike up from laying on its side. It was a great bike but the '82 had a notorious exhaust gasket problem which caused it to sound louder than it should have. Don't know if that was resolved in '83 but I doubt it as it was basically the same bike. Good luck finding more detailed technical info. They only made the bike for two years so there are not many of them around.
