* Makeup Tips For Fair Skin *

The first of makeup tips for fair skin is to remember that you've got fair skin. What looks good on someone else can easily lead to looking like Bozo the clown for you. But if you're willing to learn, we'll take a few minutes and help you get the most for your light-skinned dollar.

Choose A Focal Point
Choose whether it's your eyes or your lips that you want people to notice about you. Think about what feature you like the best and which other people compliment you on the most. Why do you need to only pick one? Because for you, less is more. Choosing to really play up one feature and leaving the others neutral will not overwhelm your face and instead leave you looking really striking.

The Eyes

If you choose your eyes, it's likely you have pale eyelashes. Dark eyelashes really emphasize the eyes, so be sure to invest in some good mascara. Brown or brown black should be plenty dark for you. Black may look like you're wearing falsies.

After mascara, apply your eyeliner. Smudge it in an upward way so there isn't a harsh line. Then follow with an all-over the eyelid wash of color. Choosing something light or sheer will help your eyelashes pull in the eye contact from other people. And that's it! Very simple and very striking for pale skin.

You may want to choose your eyshadow color depending on your eye color. Most fair skin looks good with pinks, grays, greens, blues and purples in addition to tan, taupe and light browns. Finding an eyeshadow color to compliment your eyes is are also good makeup tips for fair skin.

The Lips

Unless you're going for a gothic look, makeup tips for fair skin should always stay away from dark, exotic colors. You don't have to just wear lipgloss, but you do need to wear colors that will compliment your skin and not overwhelm it.

Colors that work well are light pinks, dusty pinks, bright and tomato reds, apricot, and mauves. Don't forget your lipliner.

And if you just want to use tinted gloss, that's ok too!

The Other Stuff
Makeup tips for fair skin sometimes forget there's more to the story. We don't. We'll cover foundation and blush just so you have all the information possible.

Blush

Fair skin looks great in light pinks, salmon, watermelon, pink-browns, tomato reds, plum reds, coral, mauves, mauve-browns, rose and rose-browns.

Don't forget that a little can go a long way. You just need a touch of color so you don't look so monochromatic, but with pale skin it's easy to overdo it and look gaudy. Tap all the excess powder off your brush and work your way up. You can always add more, but taking too much off can be a pain.

Foundation

Because you are looking for makeup tips for fair skin it's probably safe to say that you have pink undertones or are a cool skintone. When choosing a foundation it's imperative to get it just right. Too light of a color and you'll look ashy. Too dark of a color and you'll look ruddy. Always be sure to invest the time needed to get the right color of foundation. It will be worth it.

And now you know all about how to make your fair skin look it's finest.

* Compliment Your Eye Color
Brown Eyes: Metallics like copper and bronze and gold are great for accenting brown eyes. Also use brown, beige, champage, khaki and olive greens. Or go wild and use hot pink, tangerine, lime green or bright blue. It's up to you.

Blue Eyes: For every day use taupe, gray, violet, purple, deep blue (a darker shade than your eye color makes your eyes really blue) and black (mixed with bright blue will make your eyes pop). Also use silver, turqoise and bright pinks.

Green/Hazel Eyes: Make your eyes stand out with brown, apricot, purple, plum, deep khaki or forest green (the green will make your eyes really stand out), copper. To really glam up try gold, lime-green, really light green and bright purple.

* Compliment Your Eye Type
It's good to learn an eye make up tip for the specific type of eye you have. Here's the most common.

Deep-Set: Pale, shimmery shades will enhance your eyes. Apply your light shadow across the lid all the way from the innder corner to a bit beyond the outer corner. Use a touch of a deeper shade in the eye crease, and blend well.

Wide-Set: Apply a darker shade from the inner corner to the mid-lid. Apply a lighter shade from mid- lid to the outer corner. Blend where they meet in the middle.

Close-Set: First apply a dot of concealor to the innermost corner of both eyes. Make sure your eyeliner is very thin at the inside, and thicker at the outside. Use a light eyeshadow from the inner corner to the mid-lid. The use a slightly darker shade from mid- lid to the outer corner. Blend well where they meet in the middle.

You will look fantastic if you follow these few simple rules. So get out there and start applying yourself.

You should go to a make up specialist.

If you don't want to, do this.

For the foundation, to choose a colour, get testers and blend them into the back of your hand. What ever makeup blends in 'naturally' with your skin, pick that. Ones that go chalky or make your skin look pasty, or unnaturally dark, avoid.
I have fair skin and use a fab Neapolean line, can't remember the shade right now though. With your eyes, a nice 'cat eye' shape with eye liner would be good (thicker line towards the outside of your eye). Where dark eye shadow on the outside of your eye, getting lighter as you blend towards the centre. Wear a mascara. Because you have fair skin, you could try using a brown eye liner with brown mascara, or black and black. I use black. (I'm blonde with fair skin). Brown looks cool too. There's a lovely blue that suprisingly look fab.

Hope this helps. You would be best off going to a make up specialist, becuase they can teach you how to apply it correctly and what the different techniques are.

well i think your looking for a fresh look am i right? not a lot of makeup something to make your eyes show. first i would start by getting contacts. to bring out your eyes. try to match the color of your eyes with the eye shadow. (white and smokey never fail as well) for fair skin blush should be around a faint red rose for fair skin. if you need extra help, there should be plenty at the cosmetic desk. and if you dont like something dont be afraid to say NO. because if you dont you wouldent be you. :]

i have fair skin and i used to wear glasses. browns and not gaudy golds look nice- just dont overdo it. how old are you? the younger you are the less you need. mascara(great lash is awesome and you can get it at target pretty cheap) and some lipgloss with a little bit of eyeshadow should be pleanty for a young girl. no need for eyeliner or foundation. good luck!

Are you a peachy fair or a very pale fair? If you're the latter, stick with earthy tone - browns and greens. if you're a peachy fair, play up the pinks. You may want to go to your local Macy's or Neimen Marcus and get a free makeover at the makeup counter - mght give you some ideas. Good luck.

black or green eyeliner is good unless your eyes are lue. if they are dont use green.

put black just on top of the lashes and extend it slightly past the end of hte eye on the outer edge.
dont go right to the inner edge but leave a couple of millimetres.
black lengthening mascara i use loreal - panoramic curl and its fantabulous.

put the eyeliner and mascara on heavier than you would if you werent wearing glasses and use a sparkly very understaed cream for your eyelids. on no account use a dark couloured eyeshadow it will make your eyes seem tiny.
