I've seen it asked here many times before but never gave much thought to answering.

Why do men see prostitutes?

Or

Why do women prostitute themselves?

Having given some thought allow me to indulge myself:

There is a certain honesty that exists between the involved parties. The woman is only interested in and wants the money.....and the man is only interested in and wants the sex. When the transaction is complete everyone goes home.

Many relationships have gone to the altar under the same premise, however the lack of honesty in the relationship caused a failure in the marriage.

Now before you gal's start in on me I ask that you go back and read what I've said. It does in no way mean all marriages. I simply feel that if you read what I say you will agree that it is an honest assessment to the question.

What is your answer to the question?

Prostitution is interesting because it is illegal to sell what is perfectly legal to give away. The usual urge to merge is driven by the instinct to survive and pass on our own genetic material, not to mention the ego gratification and hormonal components of the equation. Plus, it just feels good (which explains why the dog loves your couch pillows).

Marriage has been a way to put coupling into a social context that allows all of the above aspects and provide a stable platform for raising children. I love how Christians talk about how sacred the institution of marriage is.
Marriage started out as a property arrangement to replace former methods of genetic dispersal, namely pillaging and raping the neighboring tribe's women. We became more "civilized" when we sold our women rather than allow them to be stolen. This form of slavery evolved into marriage. Prostitution is all about the "feel good" part of sex, for the male anyway. And the need to earn money on the part of the woman. It is an equitable arrangement that probably avoids many men from trying to steal sex (rape).

Why hassle to invite a query if you happen to've already bought an reply with which you are convinced? By the best way, prostitution isn't a "career." To be a legit in latest society implies having accomplished a unique stage of schooling (most commonly a school measure, no less than) that qualifies one for employment in a everlasting role of particularly top repute, with adequately top revenue. Examples of experts incorporate, however don't seem to be constrained to, physicians, engineers, architects, accountants, scientists, live performance pianists, and many others.

I don't believe that in our present society people get married just for sex. Sex is a part of the marriage contract. You can get a divorce if the other party denies normal sex without a good reason. There are just too many other ways to get sex to cause marriage for sex. Actually many mistake the sexual desire for love. A marriage for sex has as good a chance for success as a marriage for any other of the many reasons that people give or believe is there reason for marriage. If the people have good sex they usually have many of the other things which make a good marriage.

You are correct, hookers are more honest and up front. Men want to breed. Women want security. Usually in the form of $$$. Very neat and tidy solution.
