This month has been very dry and no umbrellas were needed - yet. This is unusual. Do what most tourists do and bring one of those very fine raincoats that wrap into nearly nothing. You can whip it out when the rain comes and its no hassle to carry when its dry. Kerry, where Tralee is, is the first land for 3,000 miles. It also has high mountains (well, high for Ireland) so its one of the wettest spots in Ireland. Still, the weather doesnt seem to take too much from it provided you get some dry days.
We were in Dingle last month and while the rest of the country was basking in a heatwave, it was lashing rain with high winds and low temperatures in Dingle. Dingle is up the road from Tralee so be warned! Good weather is always a bonus in Ireland. You can never rely on it but when it comes its great. Most people do not come to Ireland for the weather tho, so have more on your agenda than sunbathing. Have a good time!

i would bring one if i were you because our hot weather is going at the moment.i would not book a tour of the ring of kerry on the interent.if i were you i would rent a car.its a way better than doing it on a bus because you can spend as much time as you want at these places and the roads here are not hard to follow.when you are in kilarney or tralee anyway there is a sign for the ring of kerry every 2 mins.

In Ireland you nedd umbrellas any time of year. In county Kerry, though, because of the Gulf Stream, the weather is milder and you do have more sun than in the rest of Ireland. But take your umbrella, just to be sure. Or you could buy one, it's no big deal!
