America thinks an American record is world record. Why?

America was actually founded on a principle of isolationism. Today, many Americans would prefer to continue following in the footsteps of George Washington's isolationist policies. Also, I think that many Americans are tired of being called upon to clean up and moniter the whole world. A large percentage would rather focus on their own backyards than the global pasture.

I'm an American and I don't. In fact I don't pay particular attention to any records...American or otherwise.

I'm not even going to bother. You aren't going to listen to anything I say anyway, you already have an opinion on this. And I have a feeling you're not really looking for an answer, you're looking for people to agree with you. So sure, whatever you say, I agree, now give me 10 pts.
