They would probably poke around in our landfills and find 3,000 years of uncontrolled waste, they would find ruined buildings at which precious metals were mined, many would be either under water or tons of blown sand. They would find an adaptive people making their own weapons and ammunition, guarding their seeds for crops and limited water sources. Its a sad heritage we leave. I grieve for future generations.

They'll probably find a quarter with "In God We Trust" stamped on it and think that we worshiped George Washington. And could you blame them? Seems to be a reasonable conclusion to draw. And it kind of makes you wonder what we have misinterpreted from the past.
