How many children have you adopted?
How much of your income do you donate to support homeless children?
What have you done to eliminate the need for child social services?
What actions have you taken to do something to improve the condition of unwanted children already walking on the planet?

Why do you believe telling another what they can't do is addressing the real issue?

BTW, many pro-choicers would not choose an abortion. We just happen to respect the rights of others to care for their themselves.

I have never, ever told anyone what to do with their own body. It is their choice and their legal right to be pro-abortion and to choose abortion. They will have to live with their choices.

For ME, abortion is wrong and while I do not preach morality to others, I do live what I believe and feel. YES, I have adopted. YES, I give to numerous charities but the amount is really no one's business but my husbands and mine...but believe me, it is quite hefty.

Now, let me educate you! While I adopted in our own country...it was a long, painful, agonizing ordeal that tears your heart to pieces...all due to the wait. Babies are SO scarce in this country that the waiting list is 10, yes, TEN, years long! That is why so many U.S. citizens adopt from foreign countries. We were ready to do the same when we found out we were finally getting a son. We were getting close to the cut off age for adopting an infant (35). Yes, you can't adopt a baby if you are 35 or older.

So, now tell me what YOU have done? Have you adopted? Have you given oodles to these charities? Have you told others what to do with their bodies?

If you have not adopted, have not given to these charities and HAVE preached to others, then please don't ask what I have done...at least I practice what I believe...WITHOUT preaching or forcing my views on others.

Pro-choicers...

How many children have you adopted?
How much of your income do you donate to support homeless children?
What have you done to eliminate the need for child social services?
What actions have you taken to do something to improve the condition of unwanted children already walking on the planet?

Why do you believe telling a child he can't live is addressing the real issue?

BTW, many pro-lifers do adopt, love, shelter, and care for children. Why? Because they care about more than themselves.

In this day in age there is no excuse for someone to have an abortion, with a few exceptions such as rape. We no longer live in the dark ages, everyone knows how pregnancy happens. Women have plenty of CHOICES before a pregnancy even occurs. They can CHOOSE not to have sex or they can CHOOSE to use birth control. The problem is that some people are irresponsible and then want a quick fix for their problems instead of being held accountable for their actions. It's really pathetic.

I think some people lack the intellectual capacities to understand your question! I mean, some pro-lifer asked you the same questions. But I don't think he understood the sarcasm!!! And I don't thikn he understood what you meant.

And I can't stand when people say that it is easy not to get pregnant nowadays, and blablabla... Do they really think that EVERYBODY has the chance to get a proper education? Do they really think that teens whose parents do not talk about sexuality have the tools to understand everything that is happening inside their body?

And accidents happen. It happened to my cousin, and she used condoms. Why would she NOT have sex? Sex is a great pleasure in life, for once something that is actually FREE, something that's natural.

Anyway. I'm glas I live in Europe, where pro-lifers are not as dangerous as they are in America.

I agree with stiff grey gogo. We talk about having sex like we are a bunch of dogs responding to our instincts. I think that you value people very lowly if you can't expect them to learn to control themselves. Even dogs we train not to poop in the house. Why can't we expect humans to not have sex until they are ready to have babies.

Sex makes babies. Even with today's contraceptives, people don't use them correctly, they don't use them every time, or sometimes the methods fail. You just shouldn't have sex unless you are prepared to have a baby. At 13, 16, 19 you are just not ready. If you are in school or building a career, you are just not ready. If you are not with the man you want to spend the rest of your life with, you are just not ready. You should not be having sex. Then you wouldn't need an abortion. And when you did have a child you would be able to take care of it yourself.

And don't even bring up the incest, mother's life, and rape victims. Because even if we allowed each of them to have abortions we still would only have a small fraction of the abortions we have now. Most abortions are done on women that choose to have sex but were not ready to deal with the consequences.

i am pro-life and i have adopted 2 children, i sponsor 3 children, and we give 10% of our income towards bettering the lives of others. you are right that perhaps many people that are pro-life don't walk the walk, but there are many who do.
i myself am also adopted and if my birth mother had chosen to flush me down the drain, i would not be here and able to help the people that i do help. if the birth mothers of my children had decided to flush my children down the drain, i would not have the 2 amazing sons that i have. i plan to raise them in such a manner that they will also be a ripple in the pond of helping others and bettering lives of the less fortunate.

Great questions! Do the pro-lifers think that having a child and putting it into the foster care system is better? That has it's own disastrous results - is it a life they would choose for themselves?

I like your question. It points out many of the false values of right to life people.
I often think that if society make a choice involuntary for a person that, person should be given the right to make a choice in one persons life from the group forcing the choice on them that is equal or less life affecting.
What Society would evolve from this concept? Humm.

Why should I have to adopt children or use my income to support them? IF PEOPLE WOULD KEEP THEIR PANTS ZIPPED AND THEIR LEGS CLOSED, IT WOULDN'T EVEN BE AN ISSUE. In this day and age, there is NO excuse to get pregnant if you don't want to be. It is called RESPONSIBILITY. Try it on for a change.

Doesn't anyone use birth control anymore, That would eliminate alot of unwanted births. It's better than killing them off.
