MERCY. Without mercy terrorism cannot survive.
Do you think Hitler or Stalin had a problem with terrorism? No, try that against them and they would have wiped you and your family out.
What about the Imperial Japanese? - no.
Roman Empire? - no.
Saddam Hussein? - no.
Terrorism is only effective against a society that will show mercy, civility and restraint. Only a society that cares about civilians and gives criminals rights.
Think about how the regimes above would have handled 9/11!
Yes, you are correct - it is not only a western value - my bad.
BTW - I am not advocating that we remove restraint from our actions - Just making an observation - so don't get your panties in a wad.
But the observation is a valid one.
