I'd buy here a really sweet card, or even make one! If she's anything like my mother and I... she'll love it.
Like someone else said, make her dinner, or take them out. While she's home, keep the house clean. Do the dishes, set the table, or whatever.
Mothers care about the little, sweet things more than the big, expensive things.

Buy her flowers
Take them out to dinner
Buy giftcard to their favorite restaurant so they can go out together
Make her an appointment at a day spa for a massage/facial, etc.

think really hard about something that she has always asked you to do, and do that! ie clean the garage, clean your room, etc
or sumthing more simple: flowers
