As an individual, no. As the President of the United States, No. But he has the right to push for an amendment to the US Constitution that would ban Gay marriage. He has the same right as any other politician. He also has the Veto power which he should use more often. The amendment has to pass by a 2/3's majority, which it currently does not have.

Yes, he does. It does go through the house and all but he does have a right. Gay is a sin and Bible says that God is against gay. He isn't against the gay people, He loves everyone, but being gay is sin. Although this country is a free country, our founding fathers were christians, and they believed in God and did try to follow the Bible.

Bush believes in God and he is following God as much as he can. He is a very good president for this time. Sure he made some mistakes, but who hasn't? People aren't perfect and so he's not perfect either!

I dont think He has the right to keep people apart just because they are gay. Gays will be together weather or not he says they can wedd or not. So Bush should just let them be who they are and live their life..Besides, I thought this was a FREE country.

One of the biggest issues in today’s society is the gay rights. Do gays and lesbians have the right to get married? Should they have the same respect as we do? I believe so.
No one can help who they fall in love with, weather it be the same sex or the opposite. I believe that anybody that is really in love should have the right to get married, No matter who they may be. What is really the difference?
Many people in the world today find it vulgar and disgusting, but why? They can’t help who they are. And why should they lie about it? They are going to be who they are weather we accept it or not.
I believe that gays and lesbians should get the same respect as we do in holy matrimony. If that is the person that they want to spend the rest of their life with then let them. “In sickness and in health” that is what it says right, so if that is the person they want to spend their life with then let them. Who are we to say any different.
In my own experience I have an 18 year old sister. Her name is Sarah and yes she is a lesbian. She lives in Kansas and she is married to one of the coolest people in the whole world. She may not be a man but she loves my sister with her whole heart and I know that she would do anything to love and protect her. I could never ask for a cooler sister-in-law.
I have had gay friends over the years. One of them I saw yesterday. He is married to some guy who takes care of him like there is no tomorrow. Together they have started their own business and bought a house.
When we think about who we want to spend our lives with it is someone who is always going to be there for us. Someone that we can build a life with. No matter whom that person should be.
I think they should allow gays and lesbians to get married and not just in certain places or states. I think that people anywhere should be able to marry whatever sex they want to marry. I mean it’s their life right? Who are we to tell them who the can and can’t be with?
Everything happens for a reason, or at least that is what I was taught growing up. I believe that if it was not meant to happen then it would not have happened they way it did. Everyone falls in love, who they fall in love with is there choice not ours.
I have heard so many topics in the news about people getting beat up or killed because of them being gay. Come on people! Let them be who they are. No one tells us who to love so why should we tell someone else who to love.
You can’t say that we shouldn’t love who we want to love. I mean everyone says listen to your heart right. So why should it be any different if it is the opposite sex? I mean gays and lesbians are people too right? They have a heart too right? So listen to it.
I wish that we could just have a peaceful world where everyone can be the person that they are. No more lying or denying. Be who you want to be. Let these people live there lives and if they want to get married then so be it “until death do us part!”

God I hope so!!! It is so wrong. It is a sin against God to be gay. It is such a dirty and gross lifestyle choice. I pray to God that he will not allow something like that to pass.
